After the late Queen's passing was the coronation of King Charles III on May 6th
As a community we celebrated in style with a party at La Luna Park, Almoradí, with 80 people and a live band.
We were delighted to be joined by Sara Munsterhjelm from the British Consulate.
Loyal subjects of Queen Elizabeth II gathered together to enjoy a fun packed afternoon at The Casino, in Almoradí, to celebrate Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee, on June 3rd.
The room was decked with Royal decorations including bunting, balloons, and flags and guests donned themselves with various colours of red, white and blue.
During luncheon, Paul Harris, local guitarist played a mixture of music for the guests. Then at 3PM they were entertained by The Costa Blanca Morris Dancers. For many, this was a complete surprise — bringing a little of British tradition to the occasion.
People stood to toast the Queen, singing the National Anthem, before sampling the special iced cake and muffins, made by members of the Committee of The Association.
The event raised just under €300.
